Nestled in the Vale of Lluidas, the landscaped greenery that covers Worthy Park offers a glimpse into a different side of Jamaica. Located in the central parish of St. Catherine, an hour's drive from the white sand beaches of the North Coast, a visit to Worthy Park is a trip back in time to the days of unspoiled landscapes and natural beauty that had given rise to Jamaica being known as the "Land of Wood and Water." Established in 1670, Worthy Park was gifted to Lieutenant Francis Price for his services to Cromwell during the English capture of the island from the Spanish in 1655. Since then, ownership of the estate has remained in the hands of only 3 families, with the Clarke family having owned and operated the estate since 1918. Worthy Park is the true definition of Single Estate Rum. The estate contains almost 9,000 acres of Land with another 1,200 acres located off site. A little less than half of the land is dedicated solely for Sugar Cane cultivation. The Molasses used in our rum distillation is produced at our on-site Sugar Factory that has been producing sugar unabated since 1720. Our rum is distilled in a 100% copper pot-still, which is the traditional type of distillation perfected in Jamaica. The combination of all of which gives us the exceptional, distinct and signature taste that Worthy Park rum is known for. So, grab a bottle and enjoy the Pure Single Rum that is 100% Jamaican. Single Estate 2006 Worthy Park's Single Estate 2006 is batch distilled using our 100% copper pot still. Distilled in 2006 and tropical aged for 12 years in once-used American White Oak Barrels and bottled at cask strength with no additives; this is an authentic representation of Jamaica Rum from the Worthy Park Estate.
