Matured under the influence of 3 different cask woods. RB: Re-Use American Whiskey Barrels First maturation in 200 litre American Standard Barrel, for a gentle wood influence. OS: Oloroso Sherry Butts Second maturation: 500 litre casks using staves from first-fill Oloroso Sherry Butts or a rich sweetness and frui accent. HC: Heavy Char Heads Second maturation: Cask heads of heavily charred virgin American oak adding a sweet vanilla finish with depth. One of a range of whiskies that showcase the typical characters of Scotland's regional malts, this is a classic expression of Speyside Malt Whisky, with further influence from our signature casks which were designed specifically to enhance the characteristics we look for in this style of malt. Our Master Blender has chosen a number of mature whiskies from different Speyside distilleries that illustrate the typical Speyside Malt flavours of honey, spice and delicate floral nuttiness. These whiskies were aged in American oak barrels prior to their initial blending and were then matured for a second period in our specifically coopered custom-made Mossburn casks. These casks were specially built Oloroso Sherry Butts with heavily charred American oak heads which enhance the richness, depth and spicy vanilla flavours. Bottled without any coloring or chill filtration. At Mossburn we only produce hand-crafted whiskies of the highest quality, selected from our own ageing stocks. This Blended Malt is an excellent example that illustrates the classic regional flavours of a well-balanced, complex Scotch Malt Whisky. Display Tubes/Boxes: Display boxes subject to availability.
