Product Description

Let'er Buck Pendleton Whisky was made to honor one of the most famous and respected rodeos in the world, the Pendleton Round-Up. First held in 1910, this legendary rodeo has taken place in Northeast Oregon for over a century. Each batch of Pendleton is rested in American oak barrels before being cut to proof with pristine glacier fed spring water from Oregon's highest peak, Mt. Hood. This time-honored process provides a consistently rich tasting whisky with an uncommonly smooth finish. Pendleton's distinct flavor profile features notes of warm fall fruits, honey, and vanilla balanced by a hint of spice.

What critics and judges wrote

IWSC judges · Silver · 2025
A sweet, floral nose, with chocolate cereal layered with menthol. The mouthfeel is soft, displaying rye spice and caramelised macadamia. Golden syrup, fudge, and orange peel linger on a light and pleasantly chewy finish.

Citrus and sweet marzipan on the nose. Elegant with an oak spiciness on the palate.

Aromas and flavors of creme brulée, salted caramel, allspice, and molasses or rum barrel … A lovely Canadian Whisky with a persistent nuttiness and sweetness throughout.

Curious aromas of vanilla, clover honey, and sweet biscuit dough … Silky smooth Canadian for highballs and smooth sipping on the rocks, mild with light notes of biscuit, apples and clover honey.
Whisky Advocate · Davin de Kergommeaux · 2019
Not overly complex, it feels good on the palate with its slowly developing warm peppery spices. Lavishly creamy, soft, and warming with contrasting suggestions of citrus fruits, but without becoming too challenging.

Rich toffee and caramel aroma with cashews and some dry cocoa. … Simple and sweet, practically pining for a bubbly mixer, but not bad for dessert, either. Quite typical of the category.
Distiller · Keith Allison
Toffee, vanilla, and artificial maple syrup all carry from the nose directly to the taste. … Nothing sticks around to produce a finish. This is a casual sipper that would be well-suited by the addition of cola or other mixer.
