This unusual single grain Scotch whisky is from one of Scotland's most historic closed distilleries. Set beside the Forth and Clyde Canal on a hill overlooking the vibrant city of Glasgow, Port Dundas was a prominent local landmark for two centuries; fortunately, remaining stocks still allow us a glimpse of the glorious past. The 18 year old, long aged in American Oak casks, is complex yet easy going, with a rich and indulgent flavor. Buttery toffee and crisp fruit lead the spicy-sweet nose into milk chocolate, marshmallow and sweet wheaty biscuit, while the smooth texture delivers sweet, creamy flavors of nutty butterscotch and vanilla that are spicily balanced by white pepper on the delicios palate. The finish is long, powerful and sweetly warming. Simply delicious!
