This walnut liqueur, achieved from the infusion of walnut husk in alcohol, is one of the classic liqueurs of Andorno, Italy (the homeland of Ratafia). Green walnuts, still wrapped in their husk, are collected on the night of June 24th "the day of enchantment". Then they are placed in an infusion of alcohol with sugar and spices. After filtration the liqueur is ready.
