Product Description
Five decades ago, a tequila masterpiece was crafted and bottled inside 100 green ceramic decanters. The decanters were especially created to emulate cognac, considered the most premium spirit in the world at the time. Crafted by Don Francisco Javier Sauza, the original 1973 Tres Generaciones Anejo celebrated the first century of La Perseverancia distillery, and the hard work of his father Eladio and grandfather Cenobio, the two Dons who came before him. Made using only agave from San Martin Ranch -- his favorite childhood spot -- this Anejo helped elevate tequila from the beverage of the working classes to a first-class spirit. Today, the tequila inside this limited-edition green ceramic bottle honors the living legacy of the Sauza family and the spirit of perseverance. And just like 50 years ago, this modern take on our original green collectible decanter is truly one-of-a-kind. Inspired by the 1973 original, this 2023 Tres Generaciones Anejo was crafted using Don Francisco Javier Sauza's very own recipe. With 100% blue agave slowly cooked in traditional masonry ovens, double-distilled in pot stills, and patiently aged in specially-selected toasted White Oak barrels for a minimum of 12 months, this tequila proudly carries the Sauza trailblazing spirit in every sip.
