Knappogue Castle 21 Year Old is a limited edition single malt made exclusively from malted barley. It is triple distilled in copper pot stills and matured in bourbon casks for a minimum of 21 years. On the nose and palate, expect hints of fresh baked bread with a mellow, complex taste, finished with a malty cereal sweetness. Non-chill filtered. Knappogue Castle Single Malt Irish Whiskey is named after a beautiful 15th century castle that stands in County Clare, Ireland. The castle was purchased in the 1960's by Mark Edwin Andrews and his wife. He was a pioneer, known for collecting and bottling single malt and pure pot still whiskey at a time when only blended whiskey was popular in Ireland and around the world.
